So, what exactly is “Sweet & Spicy” Boudoir?
Well, Boudoir Photography goes back a loooong way. Boudoir itself comes from a French meaning of “to pout”, and basically Boudoir is a lady’s private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room.
In Photographic terms Boudoir has and does take many different styles. In essence it is a sexy and classy image with intimate garments (lingerie, sleepwear) worn. We have come a long way since the inception of Boudoir Photography though, and as with much of life, things have changed somewhat.
Boudoir Photography can now take on just about any vision you can dream up! It is still sexy but can now be more fun, vibrant, classy, cheeky, the list goes on. A partner’s shirt, favourite sports jersey etc. can now (and often are) incorporated, making the images even more unique and special. Posing can be more “fashion” orientated and fresh. Lighting is still paramount but is much more ‘freely’ and uniquely used. In short, Modern Boudoir Photography is no longer the mainstay of a bedroom scene alone, it’s whatever you find sexy!
Sweet & Spicy Boudoir is ALL of the above. I try and look at things with my unique eye and make them fresh and vibrant whilst maintaining the chemistry between you and my camera lens. For me, creating an image of you in such a way you that you feel empowered, sexy and strong is paramount, so I look upon Sweet & Spicy Boudoir as the Modern Boudoir Photography everyone deserves!
